LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!! i never have my peoiod  spotting nothing ever!! !  every once in a while i get a bit crazy, usually the first few days after i get it, i also when i first got on it i lost 30 lbs!

When I was on it, I loved it, until I realized how badly it screwed my body up after the fact.
I loved not having a period, and all that went along with it, but when I went off of it I was infertile for 18+ months.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I was on it for 4.5 years and it made me gain SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo much weight.  It was awesome for convenience but the consequences were horrible!  I got pregnant about 9 months after I stopped taking it but had no period and haven't had one since 2003 since before I ever took it!  Obviously I ovulated but I still haven't had a period and my dd is 9 months!   Just be careful...........

I tried it and I was on the rag for THREE MONTHS straight! I shit you not!

I was on the depo. I dont know if thats the one your talking about? But for me it SUCKED. I bled for 2 months straight. When I got off of it and got on the pill I stopped bleeding and had normal periods. I hated it. It was convinent because i didnt have to remember to take a pill but it sucked for me

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! i was on that stupid shot and i bled everyday for 15 months...and it took my sex drive..i am currently on the nuvaring and have no period during the 3 weeks it's in, and my sex drive is slowly coming back

i just ran trough my three months on it and i got birth control pills today instead of the shot it made me moody and tired like i was constantly pmsing and i was on my rag for 6 weeks(not to mention i had insomnia those 6 weeks) but i hear a lot of good things to. i did a post last night though and someone mentioned that the shot could cause scarring of the fallopian tubes i didn't really look into that since i was getting off it but since the Dr. never told me about it and i didn't read it with the little bit of research i did you may want to ask your Dr. if its a possibility.

I took it once in 2007, and hated it. I had no sex drive, and I felt like terrible PMS for a few months. I  bleed like crazy after I got off of it, and it took almost a year to get my cycle back under control. It really just didn't work out well for me. It took me about 15 months to conceive this baby also.

if you want to try it go ahead. I personally haven't heard anything good about it. My sister felt like she was PMSing the whole time. My cousin is infertile at the moment even though she hasn't gotten it in 6 months (shes trying to get pregnant). I have a friend taht used to get it but it made her gain weight when she got it, another friend just went on it and she just started gaining weight and also gets headaches now too.

Its a good idea for convenience but if you get side effects it sucks since it lasts for so long, cuz you can't undo it like you can an implant if you don't like it.
