my friend has a 2 yr old, and does it all the time, I think she needs to grow up personally..I don't think its appropriate, around your kids or not...
:::EDIT:::
I'm not bashing people who smoke pot, I'm just curious on how many actually do smoke it. The only people I said anything negative about, were the ones who do it when their kids are present...just to clarify
If you know its bad and its harming her daughter why won't you do anything about it???
Quoting LuvinMyBoynGirl:its rediculous I know...she's in size 5t clothing, my daughter is 2 months older than hers, and is still in 2ts sometimes 3t...and only weighs 29 poiunds
Quoting mommyof11050307:
OMG im sorry i hate when people do this. But i think CPS needs to get involed because that is not normal for a 2 year old to be like that. She can ruin her daughters health if she keeps doing this.
Quoting LuvinMyBoynGirl:
I have, she says its her life, and that her daughter is fed and taken care of and for me not to worry about it..this may sound bad, but her daughter is 2 and 48 pounds, I told my friend that all of that contact high, is giving her daughter the munchies, and if she doesn't stop, she's going to get major health problems
I'm kinda anti-government lol. I believe you should challenge everything. I guess Im almost an anarchist.
Quoting squidlife4me:I did when I was a kid.. then I grew up and became a mom. For me personally... smoking pot is against the law and I dont want to do anything that will jeopardize my children and their happiness.... Drugs are illegal... get caught and get your kids taken away.. its not worth the risk for me... not in a second. I am not saying that everyone that gets caught loses their kids but it DOES happen and I am just not willing to take that chance. AND I dont want to set that kind of example for my kids. No matter what you think about pot being harmless and it being stupid its against the law.. it still is and what kind of example would I be to my kid if I did things that are against the law for fun?? I want him to follow my rules.. that means I follow the rules of my government... plain and simple.
I've never smoked it, and never will. In fact, I've never smoked anything, and I never will. I don't agree with it. The way that I see it is that IF you do not have children and you want to smoke it then so be it. However, I think that its irresponsible to do something that is clearly illegal when you have children. Regardless of whether you are lazy or not or whatever adverse effects or benefits that someone thinks it may have, it is still illegal. Regardless of whether or not you feel that it should be illegal it is. I think that doing anything that could result in getting arrested when you have children is irresponsible. On that same token, I find that writing a check that you do not have money to cover at the time that the check was written, or any other illegal action, to be irresponsible.
Thats a big kid.. but my friends son is the same way and she doesnt smoke pot.. some kids are just big. Her son is 4 months younger then my oldest. At his 2 year bithday party she was asking for 4t-5t clothing for him. He was already 44lbs. Hes now 3 and weighs about 50.. I believe.. hes not fat though hes just a big boy.

Oh, OK - sorry. :( I just hear a bunch of people that are strictly against pot, but I understand if you just want to keep it away from those that could become addicted. Every person is different when it comes to that. I know many people who smoke pot, and are not addicted and never become addicted or move onto harder things.
I guess I just wanna stand up for it. lol!!
Pot helped me out of a serious depression when I was 17, and it helped me get my appetite back.. Wish I could get some now for my chronic pain, but military Dr's are not the brightest, and I hear FL does not allow medicinal use anyway.
:(

I don't have a problem with it for medical use. But both my hubby and my sister have had pass drug use and it started out with pot and then when onto other harder drugs. So in order to make sure it doesn't happen again i don't want any type of drug around my family.
Quoting HeatherMae55:
If you dont' mind my asking, what do you see wrong with it??
Quoting mommyof11050307:
I never have and good chance never will. I don't want it around my kids or me. This is a huge deal between me and my hubby. He sees nothing wrong with it i do.
I don't think its the pot but I could be wrong. It's probably more of her neglecting her kid,,, you said she was lazy.. and the kid eating to make herself feel better. I would try to get your friend help. Like have her go to a counslor or tell her she may need to see a pschy. She sounds like shes depressed because shes lazy and doesnt clean up and other examples you said. I have manic deppression and when Im down Im lazy and dont wanna get off my ass either. Have compassion for both mother and child first. If she rejects help then call dhs.. Maybe they will wake her up into getting help.
thats cool for you. Personally I dont agree with every law in the us but I still abide by them. I dont do any drugs, would NEVER drink and drive, hell I hardly even drink, and I dont speed...lol. I am not a goody two shoes.. I curse like a sailor ... but I think that If I want my kid to follow my rules I have to lead by example...
the sign says no parking... we park somewhere else... ya know?

I've never tried it. I've been curious, bt just never did. I'm scared of how I'd react to it so I dnt think I'd do it til my DS is all grown up lol. Some of the replies were commenting on legalizing it n comparing it to alcohol. My question is, we have breathalyzers to tell us when someone's over the limit, how would we do that wit pot? Obviously ppl are stupid enuff to drink n drive, so I'm willing to bet there's gonna be some that would drive high or stoned. (Serious question btw)

Optimism is a choice....cynicism isn't smarter, just safer.
I got blasted in the other post about pot. I really believe if you put any type of drug in front of a former addict then they are going to start using drugs again just like putting a drink in front of an alcoholic. I've heard what it did to my hubby's family and it won't happen with me because it is a deal breaker. But on the same hand i feel the same way about drinking if its starting to be addictive then its gone. Drug and Alcohol addiction runs in his family also. He parents used to do coke and they are both alcoholics. I see how they are and i don't want it for my family.
I think its great if it helps people for medical reason and i have no problem with that. Its just like any other perscription by a dr.

I believe in self reliance. I believe when you make a choice you should consider all points of morality on it. If the sign says dont park in handicapp.. I would think your jackass for stealing a spot from someone with a disablitiy. I believe we should think about others as well as ourselves when making decisions. I no longer smoke pot (wish i could) but i do not out of respect for my family. I do not NOt smoke pot because of the fact that its illegal. I don't smoke because my hubby asked me not too.
