For those of you who don't know what it is- its a brown recluse. Look it up. *shudders*

Glad it landed on your desk and not your head! I would bring some spray and hit up all the windows and doors. That is a spider you don't want to to mess with.
when my parents moved out to the country we had those sooo bad... our hosue was empty for a few months before they bought it. My husband had a horrible bite on his knee when he was little that his mom just didnt take him to the doc for ended up eating away a big chunk of his skin before she finally did. My gma has also been bit by one and i felt so bad once it finally healed she got shingles. she has diabetees so things dont heal as quickly as it would for me.ugh there so gross. and those bannana spiders that are black with a yellow butt.

It's actually very rare for the necrosis to happen around a brown recluse bite. The cases where it happens are a minority.
I was bitten by one while out riding last summer and while it swelled to about the size of a golf ball, the necrosis was limited to a pencil eraser sized crater that by this summer looks like a burn scar rather than anything all that dramatic.
Gross spider though.
Eeewwwww!!!! I'd hate to deal with that one.
