 As in over rated I mean they that people use them too much for little things..

Do you think they are just doing thier jobs? Yes. think about how bad thinsg would be for so many children out there without someone to look out for them

Would you ever call them? I have. I would have felt terrible if something had happened to those kids, knowing i could have tried to help

Have you called them amd they did nothing? No, when I called, they looked into it, found that it was a solid, founded report, and took action to keep those kids safe.

Would you care if they were called on you? I'd be annoyed, but i have nothing to hide.

Do you think they are just doing thier jobs? For the most part. There are always some bad apples.

Do you think that people call them to start stuff? For sure. Retaliation is probably the number one reason they are called.

Would you ever call them? I have.

Have you called them amd they did nothing? They checked into my complaint, but in the end did nothing.

Would you care if they were called on you? I have had them called by a doctor. Did I care? Yes. Did it matter? No. I also volunteered my family for a case at one point.

Is the CPS over rated? Sometimes they make mistakes. Sometimes the investigators are harsh/judgemental. But they are a necessity in the world we live in.

I personally have had no dealings ever with CPS. However, I do believe that someone needs to be looking out for the kids and this is a good start.

i worked for them and i think alot of it is bs, some need to be remove , some just need a little help. but  then again i think the entire juvinel family court system is a bunch of crap.

Would you care if they were called on you? I would be pissed because I'm a damn good mom and there is nothing that I do that would warrant them being called. Would I be scared no because I have nothing to hide.

Is the CPS over rated? I think they are in place to protect kids...but time and time again I've seen this "system" in place to protect children has also failed them. I think they are over-worked and underpaid and don't have enough ppl to commit to all the cases.

My experience with them (only as a child) was that they could never do anything except write stuff down that parent did (abusive) and then go and tell them afterward (which made things worse). CPS was useless in my situation.

Plain and simple: CPS is good and very needed

 

But, as with everything else, bad things can come from good intentions! 

CPS is way WAY over-worked and under-staffed (and this leads to mistakes).  CPS is also often lead in wrong directions by bad calls (out of spite or what-not) OR not brought into a very needed situation when it is needed and these are not the faults of CPS but those that did not do their part to get the correct info to CPS.

No one likes CPS to come "visit" when "not needed" but if it saves one life (and it has), it is worth it.  They are necessary "bad guys": finding the guilty ones among the crowd unfortunatly means everyone called about must be assumed guilty before proven innocent to get to the honest truth behind sealed doors!  Believe me.............they do not harass people because they want to and have extra time to kill.  They are so over-worked that if they are bugging you, it is because they have been made to think there is a legit reason for it!

Do you think that people call them to start stuff? Thats probably not the usual reason people call but I am sure it has happened.

Would you ever call them? I sure would if I thought a child was being abused or neglected.

Is the CPS over rated? I never knew they were rated very high anyway.
