question for cat owners... sedative? PIOG

So my cat will be traveling by car for about 18 hours in her travel crate on May 31st.  She is going from Pennyslvania to Florida. My concern is that she drools, sometimes pees, and gets very vocal while traveling in the car.  Is there something that i can give her to try to calm her down?  I am not too sure about this and really am not sure i even want to. I am on the fence, because i just want her to be more comfortable and make the trip a little bit better for her.  She is 8 and she doesnt have any medical problems. She throws up a lot after eating and that has never been figured out.  Does anyone have any advice? Any would be appreciated.  Like i said, im on the fence about this, so please no bashing. :(

I have only traveled with a cat once before and it was in a dog crate with a litter box anchored inside in the back of an SUV and I had to stop alot. I would call the vet and see if they have something you can give the cat. I know they make stuff for dogs (or a bit of bendryl works) but not sure with cats.

Shoot my cat rode from upstate ny to the middle of ca....my mom had found something for the cat i think at like petsmart...it worked great, my cat didn't cry or anything! I would call your vet and see what they recomend though. or if they know a place that you could get something.

I have a cat but I don't know, this is really something you need to ask your vet about. Giving medicines to animals can be tricky, something thats fine for a dog or human may be toxic to a cat.

I would talk to your regular vet, perhaps they can recommend something.  I traveled with my cat from ohio to wash (we stopped at night) for 4 days but he was only about 8 weeks old or so . He just sat in my lap the whole time since i wasnt the driver. Definitely ask a vet what to do.

kitty valium! im not kidding.... lol. Take her to your vet... they'll most likely give it to her for an 18 hour car ride.

There is an all natural thing my mom gives her pets to calm them down... I forget what its called. Rescue something..... im not sure. haha. sorry!
