Cat Lovers, I need help!!

My 5 yr old cat has been throwing up once a day for the past week or so. He's been on the same food. We had this problem with him last year and we took him to the vet. They said everything seems normal.

We stopped dry food and put him on canned food. But now hes doing it again. Its ruining our carpet!!!!

Hmmm...it he shedding a lot?  I know that my cats tend to throw up more as we head into summer as they shed a ton of hair and then lick it off.  Is there anything other that his cat food in it?  Good luck with him!

ETA:  as the PP mentioned, hairball control food can help.  We use Iams indoor cat formula with hairball control.

Hairballs, maybe? Other than that, I don't know. Good luck!  I forgot to add that you can give him some vasaline once a week to keep them moving through him.

They also have a hairball paste if you feel like getting the nasty smelling stuff on your hands. Cats love the taste, I hated the smell.
