No, but I made some homemade flash cards and it works! But, my son still LOVES cars! No, he's not reading, yet... Typical 3 year old though!! Good Luck!

I bought the program months ago but have not followed it the way I'm supposed to. My baby's 9 months old so I'm going to start it on Monday.

Not sure what the point is to teach a baby how to read.  I don't think this is a wise investment because babies that small don't understand what they are doing.

I saw the infomercial on this the other day and was wondering the same thing. I don't want to waste my money if it doesn't work.

I'm a non-married, epidural birthing, breast-milk bottle feeding, co-sleeping, delayed vaccinating, non-circumsizing, cloth diapering kinda mom.  I will stay at home, rear-face, public school, and spank if necessary.  I'm pro-choice, democratic, athiest, and all for world peace.  I support gay rights, I'm not racist, & I believe we were all created equal.  My son is my life, he makes my heart melt.  So, now that we got that outta the way...it's nice to meet you!

What do you mean?? Ive seen the commercials, and my niece used it, by the time she started school she was reading 2 times higher than the kids in her class, so I think it's a very good investment. But I also think you can petty much do the same thing with flashcards, which Im going to do with my daughter.

I think babies should be playing and exploring their worlds, not be studying flash cards.  Babies that small don't know why they are doing things, they just do the gestures without any background.

Sure, if you want to sit there and do flashcards everyday, eventually they will read.  But there is a lot of repetition everyday to get to the level of reading that's good enough to say baby reads.  I just don't know what the point is.

Her mom wanted her to be prepared for school she is now in gifted classes and makes A's and B's in school. Thats what her mom wanted, she is well adjusted, she's very smart, one of the most polite little girls you'll ever meet. And just becuase we studied flash cards with her 2 hours 3 times a week doesn't mean she didnt play. She played, she explored, and flashcards was part of her learning expirence. And the point of her getting it done was so she wouldnt have to struggle in school like her mom does. I dont wanna put my sil's buisness on the net, but all I know was she wanted the best for her child.

The video (at least the first one) is only half an hour long & my baby (9 months) actually sits there & watches it. dont know if its the video itself or just the fact that its the TV (since that's the only time she's been placed in front of it).  I read to my baby anyway & have used the flashcards, but not necessarily in a "teacher student" form. If for example Im showing her a card that says BYE. I will show it to her then wave bye to her, then ask her if she can wave by to me &/or Daddy, etc, etc. She has fun w/ it, and if I saw her getting tired &/or frustrated, I would stop.
