my last post. Since my last post, I had our son and finished out the semester. Michael Elliott Colbert was born May 8, 2009 at 12:14pm. He weighed 6lbs and 14oz; he was 19.1 inches long. He was born with and still has a head full of dark hair. When he was born, we found out that he has a bilateral cleft palate with a cleft lip. It came as a shock and was really overwelming because they weren't able to see it on the ultrasounds done. He lost 5 oz before we left the hospital and an additional 2 oz the following 2 days. They informed us that if he was not back up to his birth weight by 2 weeks then he would be put back into the hospital and transported to Tulsa. But fortunately we got him back to his birth weight by the time we had to have him weighed again.

So now he is doing good...in fact, the last time he was weighed, he was at 7 lbs and 10 oz. We are waiting on our appointment to be scheduled to see a specialist in OKC. They will evaluate him to see how sever his deformaties are and what will need to be done. And he will go through a series of surgeries over a period of time.

BTY...I finished up my semester. I had him on a Friday afternoon and was back in class Tuesday to take finials...I had one test Tuesday and 2 on Wednesday (I passed all 3). And I passed my OGET (state test)
