What color hair/eyes do you have? Your hubby? And your kids? What's your heritage? Whose genes are stronger?

I have light brown hair naturally (although it was nearly white when I was little), blue eyes and my heritage is 3/4 Norwegian 1/4 German. My hubby has brown hair and green eyes and is mostly of English decent with some other stuff thrown in there - LOL. My kids both have blue eyes and light brown/blonde hair. It's very apparent that my genes are strong! Much like my personality :DDD

  • I hit enter and instead of going down a line, it "published" before I was ready. What's dishwasher blond? I've NEVER heard of that!

Scandanavian probably...I'd almost say Danish. Norwegians are usually known for blonde hair and blue eyes.

We both have dark brown hair and blue eyes. I was blond when I was little though. I am of English and Irish decent. He is of German and Viking (Nova scotian?) decent.

Our dd looks just like her daddy. But she is dishwater blond.

  • There's my look-a-like reply and I'll add my DH..I think my DD looks like him more than me but both kids favor skin color, hair color (when mine's natural! LOL) and DEFINITELY eye color. Although any time I'm out in public...I get asked if my hubby has blue eyes...or if they are mine!?

My son looks just like me :) My daughter can too..

  • I have white skin, red hair, and blue eyes.  (typical ginger kid. lol!) I'm German on both sides with some Dutch thrown in.
Hubby has dark skin, black hair, and brown eyes. He is plan and simple 1/2 Native American and 1/2 white.
Our daughter has white skin, red hair, and green eye. Typical ginger kid! My mom has green eyes so I'm sure that's where it's coming from. His grandmother has red hair so I guess the ginger gene is strong with us. LOL! Although her facial features make her look just like him but with my coloring.

  • I have dark, dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, olive skin tone. I'm mostly Italian. DD somehow ended up with blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skinned. What's awesome is she has my exact face. She's even seen pictures of me at about her age (3) and swears its her, lol.

  • I am litterally a mix of everything. Hispanic, italian, native american, black, asian. My husband is half white half fliipino. My husbands traits are supposedly supposed to be stronger but he looks more hispanic than I do. I have black hair and light complexion he is on the tan side with black dark brown and natural blonde highlights. My kids look like me and their asian eyes are because my grandpa has them really bad. We used to make fun of him and ask if he was awake or sleeping lol. My husband has the big round eyes and in no way looks filipino.

Post killer? I'm the worst post killer ever. Either that or I always get skipped over. There was a look-a-like post the other day and NO ONE commented on my pics :((( That's ok, maybe we can team up and kill some of the excess posts going on :P

    Quoting mommaponch:

  • Oh and dishwater blonde is when they're not quite blonde but not quite brunette.  It's like they're mostly blonde with a little bit of dirtyness thrown in ... like dishwater.
