Question: Do you have a hard time saying no? Are you a "people pleaser"?

Just wondering, for some reason people never think twice about asking me to go out of my way to help them out no matter how much it inconveniences me. Probably because I always said yes. Then I figured something out. When I needed help.... nobody was willing to be inconvenienced on my account. It was hard but now I only say yes if I really don't mind helping out. How about you?
I have NO problem telling people NO! If it is something that I feel is good for the community or children then I am more likely to say yes!
I think that the "can't say no" stage is something that almost everyone goes through. I most definitely went through it, but then I realized that I was wearing myself thin trying to please others, and many of them wouldn't ever return the favor. It's something you have to realize but when you do, it becomes easy to give your real answer.
I have been wearing myself out trying to be everything to everyone and barely keeping up with myself. Now that I've seen the "light" I'm learning not so much how to say no but how to keep my needs first and how to let others (including my family) know how I really feel about things and make sure that we can work out a compromise. I don't always have to say yes to my children or my husband. The order in my life is: me, my husband, my children.
