This woman was sitting in her pick up truck outside of the fireworks stand today. Like in the bed of the truck....
I was loading stuff into my car, when I looked over, saw her light a sparkler, and hand it to a baby.... who was kinda toddling (holding on to the side of the truck wheel with his left hand, the sparkler with the right....)
She then proceded to walk past the baby and open up the cab of her truck and started looking for something... Meanwhile, baby is still holding lit firework!
Thank god, the grandma (or some older woman) walked over and took it, and than gave the mom an ear full!
The kid was barely walking, and there he was holding a freaking lit sparkler!

They are definitely dangerous! I have a scar on my finger from a sparkler...granted, I was 9 and was dumb enough to cross a sparkler with a plastic popsicle wrapper, but 25 years later I am still reminded of how dangerous they can be!! I have to agree, that woman is an idiot!!
What temp to they get to like 1200 degrees? What a dumb ass.

I don't think people get that Sparklers are STILL FIREWORKS....They can burn you... hell, I have seen them catch on fire before... like in flames!
