• Has he ever hit you before ?? OR your son ??  Was he drunk ??  Find a place where there are people around..  You need to get this solved if you want your relationship to work..

• How did he "not know" that he hit you? Was he drunk? Was it in his sleep? If he was drunk and he hit you, I would tell him he needs to get some help. I wouldn't trust a man that hit me while he was intoxicated. If it was in his sleep, then I would just talk to him about it. Any other reason, to me, is absolutely unacceptable. I'm so sorry you have gone through this. My DH has hit me in the face, playing around, and I have gotten pissed and told him under NO circumstance do you hit me in the face.

• Agreed.  Hitting is hitting, drunk or not.  People get killed ALL THE TIME in drunken rages.

  either way its going to be hard.

  but i suggest you start finding a better way to take care of yourself and your LO so you dont feel so trapped.
