  We take care of DH uncle, he is 56 and has Down Syndrome. He has 7 brothers and sisters (including my MIL) and DH has had to take care of him and his grandpa since DH was 16 when his grandmother passed away. His grandpa passed away when my DS was 3 months old in 1993. Do any of them call to ask how their brother is doing? NO!!! One lives in our same city, another about 45 minutes away and the others are out of state or hours away. I understand everyone gets busy, but it doesn't really take long to call or email and ask how their brother is doing. He cries for them, he misses them. The one that lives here will call and say she is going to pick him up for the weekend...she never shows up. It is very sad. He hasn't seen any of them in over 3 years, and it's been that long since anyone has even asked about him. So, this is what I would say to them!!!
