TMI sex question

OK ladies...really embarassing question here, but I really am wondering if anyone else has this problem.......

For the past month or so I've been having pain right before and during orgasm. It's only on my left side and it's kind of a stabbing pain. Not too intense, def not enough to make me not want to have sex ;)

I have no other issues down there, no STDs, only have sex with DH, no signs of infection.......

And before you tell me, I'm going to make an appointment to see my OB/GYN, I've just been really busy. I prob won't get an appointment for a few weeks from now, so I'm just trying to get an idea of what it might be before.

First thing that came to mind was something with your ovary

might be ovarian cysts.  that's the only thing i can think of besides PID (which is an STD, if i remember correctly).

Yeah, I was thinking something with my ovary becasue it's in that area, I never had a cyst problem before but I was under the impression it would hurt all the time and not just during orgasm?

A pain similar to what u are describing is what finally got me diagnosed with PCOS.  I have lots of cysts on my ovaries...specially my right side.  They don't cause me pain all the time.  Mostly when they get big or inflamed.

I agree with the ovary cyst, I just had one removed in Dec and who knows how long I had it because I thought it was normal and then I got use to the pain.

not necessarily.  i know that my friend has gotten several cysts, and she said they only hurt at certain times, especially during her period or when she has sex.

Yeah, I was looking online and I saw a lot of stuff about PCOS.....but I was under the impression that you get a lot of other symptoms with that....weight gain, hormonal changes, really have periods etc?
