My baby is still sleeping in my room.  I had started getting her use to hers when we ended up having a scorpion problem.  But once I know that's dealt with I want to start getting her comfy in her own room.  Both the of the kids rooms are upstairs and mine down stairs.

How old was your baby when you let them sleep the whole night in their room?  I'm also super nervous about SIDS, the main reason (other than scorpions) that she sleeps in my room.

EDIT:

For those of you that wonder what I'm talking about as far as the scorpions:  Heres one:

  • dd slept in our room until she was about 8 months old. With our son he was in our room for just a couple of weeks.

dd is super clingy and we still can't get her to bed in her own room. We thought it was b/c she slept in our room so long and didn't want to repeat it but now son is like that too.

  • I did it the other way around. My DH had to get up at 5am to go to work. Our son would wake up every 1h or 2h. Ok he was my first born so maybe let him cry some would have been fine. But anyway I got up all the time for the first 4 months. Which bothered my DH so I put a bed in his room. My DH slept in his room and I slept in my sons room. He never was in our room and to this day he dont want to sleep in our room. He is 7 now.

  • My daughter slept in her own crib from the first night we got home from the hospital.  I just got up and went into her room to breastfeed for the first 3 months every 2-3 hours.

  • My DS was about 1 month when he started sleeping in his room. He has always been a SUPER easy baby though. We have been soooo fortunate!

  • He's HUGE!!!!  My son went from his crib at 17months due to him climbing out right to a queen size bed :-)  he liked the guest bed, so he got it!!
