My baby is still sleeping in my room. I had started getting her use to hers when we ended up having a scorpion problem. But once I know that's dealt with I want to start getting her comfy in her own room. Both the of the kids rooms are upstairs and mine down stairs.
How old was your baby when you let them sleep the whole night in their room? I'm also super nervous about SIDS, the main reason (other than scorpions) that she sleeps in my room.
EDIT:
For those of you that wonder what I'm talking about as far as the scorpions: Heres one:

No, any neighborhood that was built here in Las Vegas from the 1980s-1990s has Bark Scorpions. They came in from Arizona. Any place that has Palm trees will almost always have them (from Arizona as a source). Their hitchhikers, and love to travel to new places!! There not native to Las Vegas. There everywhere, but not everyone sees them. I go out at night to see what kind of bugs I have in my yard... I'm not so against them being in the yard, it's in my house that I can't cope with!!!
Quoting Proudmommy312:That's so crazy! I had no idea people live in area's with scorpions in and around their house. LOL! I thought they lived in hot desert area's in the sand!

LOL, I know, I think that's funny!!! I want so bad to move her to her room, just, that's my HUGE issue right now. The one I posted I caught the other night. I caught a baby scorpion on the wall upstairs. They are the most venomous scorpions in the country. Their Bark Scorpions, and can kill a child!! No deaths recently from then here that I know of, but people die in Mexico all the time from them, I've heard up to 200 people a year die from a sting there!!
Edit: I live in Las Vegas NV

Doesn't it freak anyone out that she has scorpions in her house!!! No one has even responded to that!!! That would really creep me out, where do you live?

And that scorpion business is crazy!

can you get an exterminator to treat around the house, and inside if needed to keep those nasty things out of your house???
none of my children co-slept as infants... one co-slept starting at around the age of four...that is when he started having trouble breathing.
i have journals up.. it was a hot mess. he just now has returned to his bed. we have resolved one of the two big medical issues...he will be six in august.

oh and a tid bit you should know....
scorpion venom is one of the most complex venoms to treat.. unlike spider and snakes, scorpions have more than 77 different compounds.. making their sting especially difficult to treat

my son was 2 1/2 months but then hubby went to iraq for 14months and i went back home to my parents so me n my son share a room, and dd is only 6weeks so she still in our room
Scorpions! Scorpions are the reason my child began sleeping with us! Weird.
She slept in her own room as an infant just fine. The we moved to Texas and had a scorpion problem and it freaked me out to put her in her crib. Somehow I thought I could protect her in our bed. She slept with us from 18 mo's until she was in Kindergarten!
She's 9 and sometimes she still sleeps with us. On special occasions and sometimes on the weekends. I love it!
Oh, and we had an exterminator out numerous times. That year we just had an influx of them and it was impossible. They freak me out soooooo bad.
Our oldest dd was 5 days it was a fluke!! Youngest has been a different story. She went to her own bed at 2 weeks. Then got sick and came back in our room. Then went back to her room at about 3 months. Then came back to our room again at 14 months after she had a seizure. It took me about six months before she went back to her room only to come back again after another seizure. Really looonnng story short she is 5 and still comes in our room at times. But we don't mind she has a seizure disorder and her coming in is peace of mind.
Oh and those bugs..........HELLO ORKIN MAN!!!
