Any Gardeners - I hate birds!
Ok guys, we are programmers, and are not typically know for our beautiful yard. But we moved recently and have the most stunning house, so we decided we were going to do the yard thing in spades. So this year not only is our grass green and lush, and our flowers going like gang busters, we grew a food garden and peach trees. We have beautiful tomatoes, lettuce, strawberries, peaches, potatoes, squash, grapes, blueberries and we have totally out done ourselves. Even the kids are impressed!
After all that work we have only been able to eat 3 tomatoes and all the lettuce we want, (potatoes aren't big enough yet). The birds have stolen everything else, they are taking over!!!! Even the peaches on the tree are destroyed. Short of sitting with a bee bee gun on the porch picking them off, what do we do. And no, the netting didn't even slow them down. I swear I heard them laughing at it. Any ideas on how to keep them away from the food???
