She's being very vauge about why. Rumors are flying that she's getting ready to run for president???? I don't see why she would need to resign now, but ok whatever.
I second that!!

I just read the article that says she had a small press conference that didn't really leave anyone with any kind of understanding, but that she said 'good things to come' or something. The thing about running for president is purely someone's speculation. I don't think she said anything about that at all.
No one really knows why yet. It's either a (poorly thought out) vie for media attention for when she decides to run for president, or... something else entirely... I say if it is to run for president, WHY already? It's too early for that. Other than if it's some sort of thing to fall back on while she's running... "Poor Sarah, the evil mainstream liberal media forced her to resign!!"... I can just hear it now...
I like Sarah Palin's attitude. She is direct, honest, capable, and not slick like most of our icky politicians, some of which need a teleprompter before they can speak coherently a speech that somebody else wrote for them.
She's not politics as usual, and Heaven knows we sure need about 99% less of politics as usual in this country!
She managed finances well in Alaska, I'd love to see what she could do for the whole country. As this country's debt is totally out of control for irresponsible programs, spending like there's no tomorrow, and sending incredible piles of money overseas -- money that is not ours to play with, anybody want to venture a guess just how many generations it is going to take to get America back on track?
Today is July 4th -- be safe and healthy -- and remember to celebrate your freedom, while you still have some.
Yep, happened earlier today. She said she's leaving politics, period, and has no plans to run for president. You usually don't quit the term you've been elected for if you plan to run for an even higher office. It doesn't look good.
There's a rumor that she resigned to avoid a pretty bad scandal that's about to erupt. Who knows...

I third that
