or something of the equivalent.

Last night was a busy night.  Originally, the weather said it would rain today, so, we decided to go ahead and cook out last night.  By the time we cooked, ate and I cleaned up, it was getting late.  About an hour past the girls' typical bath time.  So, we go upstairs,  run the bath water, put them in, and they're playing fine.  I take this opportunity to straighten up the bathroom counter (that DH just throws everything on), so,my back is turned to them. Suddenly, my 2 year old screams out in pain!  I turn around and blood is pouring down her thumb all over her hand.  I call DH (who is cleaning the grill), yelling for him to get upstairs.  He helped the 5 year old get out.  She goes to get dressed while DH and I deal with the youngest.  Poor Maddy is so upset, not wanting us to touch her, but, we're trying to get pressure on it to stop the bleeding.  She finally calms down, lets DH wrap thick gauze around her thumb and tape it.  He told me to go sit with her at the computer to calm her down and get her dressed while he figures out how she got cut.

He comes in the room, I asked what done it...MY razor!  The previous night, I shaved and left my razor on the lower bathtub shelf, purely on accident (of course) and was in such a hurry last night, forgot to move it.

After I got Maddy to sleep, I sat at the computer and bawled!  I felt so bad!  I am the reason my poor baby cut herself.  Don't get me wrong, I know they're gonna get hurt, but, to know that it was my mistake that caused her to get hurt, that made me feel like hell.

Please, if you feel the need to bash, take it elsewhere, I feel bad enough as it is and just needed to vent out to someone about it this morning.

I lucked out when I did the same thing—my daughter said, "Mommy, what's this?" and I turned around (I was cleaning the toilet) and she was holding my razor by the handle. I told her it was sharp, and Mommy shouldn't have left it there, and took it away from her. I'm sure you'll be more careful now about your razor--I am.

It was just an accident, sweetie. Your LO will be just fine.

I've never done that, but accidents happen and we have had plenty of them, even plenty that were my fault! No worries hope she feels  better.

Awwwww Sweety we all make mistakes some that are more serious then others but dont blame yourself and feel so bad.  At least she is ok and you will remember next time to move it.

I was telling my mom about it last night.  She said I done the same thing when I was about 3.  BUT, hers was up on the counter, behind the sink where she THOUGHT I couldn't reach.  Until I cried, I cut the palm of my hand.

Sorry that happened, my son did that only he shaved his ear. It just teaches us to be more careful. Don't beat yourself up over this, you are human we make mistake. Just be thankful it wasn't too serious. Glad she is okay.

My mom left hers out when I was little and I tried to shave my legs. I ended up taking a layer of skin and cutting the SHIT outta my leg. My mom said there was blood everywhere. I don't remember it. I have since forgiven her : )

my boys have their own bathroom and i shave in my shower so there is no way they can get at my razor

HOWEVER - for the first time THIS MORNING i got up and went into our bathroom and my husbands razor was missing... my 16 month old proceeds to walk in with it!!! i flipped out! i have NO idea how he got to it because my hubby keeps it back where the baby can't reach it!!!.... i'm not sure how it got within his reach and luckily he didn't cut himself with it... i guess it's gotta go in one of the locked drawers...
