Anyone elses hubby working today? or you

• My hubby is a security officer and they have him working a double today (7am-11pm). Its sad we wont get to see the fireworks with him but it does mean a heck of a lot of time and half today. I get to spend the day with my inlaws and my niece and daughter. I guess I must get used to the idea of being without him for holidays since I go active in Nov.

  Thanks to all my brothers and sisters in all military branches!

• Yep mine has duty today on the base for SubFest... I'm sure it'll be a hellacious duty day, so tomorrow I expect him to come home & sleep.  Oh well, there's nothing either of us can do about it.  I'm still proud of everything he does for this country!!!  Happy 4th everyone!

• my husband is a marine.  he's in california for another month, doing some training to prepare for his next deployment and i'm home in north carolina with the kids.  they're 1 and 3, so today is just another day... with red, white and blue cookies.  =)

• My hubby's business was supposed to be closed today.  But 3 weeks ago, they got an email stating it would be open.  It is his Saturday to be off but since we did not have any plans, he switched with the AM so he is working today.  The benefit of that is he got to come home early this week instead of next week when the kids and I would be gone.  So, I can't complain.  Happy Fourth Of July!!!
  

  Oh, to the poster that started dating on this day, we got engaged today 16 years ago, during the fireworks display at the beach.  It has special meaning to us as well!

• We are both working. He is on the other side of the stage, guarding Sheryl Crow in her bus. I am on the right side watching all of the damn equipment. We've been here since eight and won't be leaving until midnight at the earliest.

• Dh is home, but on call as usual.  Thankfully we are BBQing at his boss's house today, so if anything comes up they should be able to take care of it remotely.

  The only "work" he is doing today was entertaining the early riser kids and letting a tired mama sleep in.  Now he is mowing the grass and spraying in hopes of keeping the mosquitos down tonight.  After that, there will just be a whole lot of relaxing going on in this house today and he deserves it!

  Monday starts three weeks of a well deserved vacation for him!  Can't wait to have him home and all phone calls and emails diverted from his cell phoen for THREE WEEKS.  That is a blessing itself. No middle of the night phone ringing!

• Thankfully he's home! He was supposed to leave 2 days ago for NTC but was held back a coupleof days for another mission.
