dying hair while pregnant???

im 18 weeks pregnant, can i dye my hair once while im pregnant???? i mean is once really gonna do any damage?

On advice from by OB/GYN, I refrained from dying my hair during the first trimester.  After that I did it, just as infrequently as possible.  I think you'd be fine to dye your hair.

Like everything else, depends on who you talk to. I dyed it once and my son is healthy as a horse.

I was told by the DR if you do it in the first 3 months its fine and wont cause any problem. Just think there are cosmetologists that are pregnant and they dont quit there job just cuz they are pregnant. They are around the fumes everyday.

Hi.... i have a seven week old baby boy and I asked this same question at the begining of my pregnancy. I was told that it was perfectly safe to dye my hair while pregnant although it was suggested that I wait until l was through my first trimester just to be safe.

I did when I was 32 weeks for the very first time ever! It was fine. They say sometimes that the color may not stick with all of the hormone changes in your body while pregnant... mine did though.

just make sure you are in a well ventilated area, and not like, locked in the bathroom.  it's the fumes of the chemicals that can be dangerous - pregnant or not.

that's what my doc told me.  i died my hair every month while i was pregnant.

I'm a cosmetologist...it's completely fine to color your hair while pregnant. Shoot, how many pregnant hair stylists quit their jobs while preggo?  Go, make yourself pretty:)
