my 22 month old daughter wont keep her diaper on anymore? is this normal, do you think this means she is ready to potty train? she has also discovered her private parts is that normal any one going through the same thing?
I just had to say, I tried pull ups and IMO, they're a waste. It's just like a diaper that you can pull off.....I think going straight to underware or just wearing nothing is the best way to go.
I just potty trianed DS and we just left him naked in the house for a few days.....it took about 3 or 4 days and he is potty trained!

I'd start putting underwear on her, and get a potty chair.
My 28 month old DD does the same thing. We have tried to get her interested in the potty, but she just wants to play with it. She wont say anything when she has to go to the bathroom, but right afterwards will take off either her diaper or pull-up and tell me that she went either pee pee or poo poo. I keep telling her everytime I change her that she needs to tell me when she has to go to the bathroom so she can use her potty like a big girl. She just laughs and runs away. Luckily, she will take her diaper off and throw it out. She doesn't play with it. So yea, it is normal. Good luck potty training!
thanks

Not to worry, that is TOTALLY normal for that age! I remember kind of freaking out about the same thing when my kids were that age :-)
Hi I just want to tell you that yes it's normal. I'm potty training my daughter now and everytime I turn around she pulls her panties off and is discovering herself. I tell her " put your panties on you silly girl" and she usually does.
Yeah my daughter and son are the same way. My daughter started stripping herself of her diapers when she was 18 months and she discovered her "stuff" when she was 13 months lol. its actually a milestone for them to show curiosity about themselves and touch, feel, stuff like that the docs just dont tell you about it being a milestone but it is. But its normal my daughter took her diapers off all the time and I tried potty training and she wouldnt do it she is 2 almost three and still wont potty on the big girl potty I have tried she just wants to play with it in other words drag it around the house and use it as a chair I have let her do that but she then thinks its a chair not a potty so yeah she also cant stand the feel of underwear and a pull up reminds her of a diaper so that does me no good. I might just start putting her in panties during the day and diapers at night til she can figure out that she is wet and doesnt want to be! But I dunno that just doesnt seem really nice. But my son loves touching himself lol everytime I change his diaper he has to touch to make sure everything is still there lol!
