• Yeah, we were aware of that when we named her.  My friend's middle name is Avery.  He thought it was cute that she shares his name :) I kind of like tomboy names too, but wasn't aware this was a boy's name until after my friend told me his middle name was Avery.  Sounded girly to me.  So we kept it :)  It just fit.  We had three names picked out and waited until I delivered her to name her.  It was either Zoey, Avery, or Layla.  We thought she looked like an Avery, so she got to keep it :)  I think it's slowly becoming a neutral gender name, but who knows.
