TTC after Mirena - PIOG

I had my Mirena taken out on June 23rd and I haven't had a period yet -- but my DH and I haven't been using any kind of protection -- my question is, if I haven't had a period and DON'T get one, when would I be able to take a HPT? Thanks ladies!!

I don't know the exact details to it but I do know I have heard if you had sex for up to some time (a week?) before you had Mirena IUD taken out you can get pregnant from that sex even though that sex was protected (if that makes sense to you). Now I don't know about you but I have the Mirena and I don't have periods at all so if your like that, well I would take an hpt probably this week or next week

I am a breastfeeding because it is best co-sleeping when we feel like it vaccinating because I feel it's important disposable diapering because I'm too lazy to do cloth part-time working because I can't stay at home all day long online classes college student working towards a law career wife to one amazing man, mommy to a beautiful 2 year old, Madison, and a 7 month old, Isabelle and dang proud of it. I let my kids have junk food and TV sometimes, I am anti-death penalty, pro-life and a young mommy and honestly don't care you think. :) Nice to meet you.

I had a mirena as well. I had mine taken out Aug. 3 07 and conceived Aug. 6 or 7th of 07. I had a period before I had mine taken out (days before removal) So I never had a period once it was taken out due to getting pregnant just a few days later. I now have a healthy 14 month old girl.

I dont know how it works really...I had mine taken out June 19th. I never had a period the whole time it was in, but got one two days after it was gone.

It can take a few months for you to get a period again, but yes you can take a HPT now, b/c you could get pregnant quickly after its out, it does happen :) GL

Well I didn't have a very consistent period when I had it in..like I would only get one every couple months for like a day or two but that was it. After I got it taken out I did have like very mimimal spotting for one day, but that's been it since I've had it taken out...
