Even though the company closed down you can return the item to WalMart or Toys R us...or the place of purchase and they should give you a full refund.
Quoting Becky.Mom.of.2:Oh hell. That looks like the crib I used with both kids and then gave to my cousin. Is it the crib they sold in the set that came with a dresser and changing table?
Yep...one of the models does have that.

Well thanks, I'll give her a call and let her know.
We got ours at Burlington and we were able to get a new crib. The one we had was the one with the changing table. The new one we got is by Delta which is the brand that we got for our first daughter.

wait whats going on w/ a recall....
i have one of those cribs for dd. she is 2 now, but still sleeping in it w/the front off -- at least i think that is where myparents bought the crib from...
They are supposidly safe once you convert them into a bed...which I did to my DD's last night. Then I thought about it...first off they went out of business because they make shady ass products...and 2 I will never be able to use it as a crib again....so I am getting my refund and buying a nice toddler bed....
yeah I thought about converting it too but the thing is, is my baby is only 11 months and he'll probably be in the crib till almost 2. ( my older son used this crib until that same age.) Plus, I'm not done having kids so I'll want to use the crib again so I makes sense for me to get another crib and then I can use it whenever I decide to have more babies. I've been researching cribs all day the last two days, trying to find one that doesn't have a drop side (I HATE the drop side) and see which companies have a lot of recalls on their record so that I don't go with them.
i don't have a pic on my laptop, but i will see if i can describe it then i will look online to see if i can find a picture.
its cherry wood color with the drawer underneath, the sides of the crib don't have the bars its a solid piece of wood...man i hope this is making sense.

The recalled cribs have one of the following model numbers, which can be found on the envelope attached to the mattress support and on the label attached to the headboard: 4600, 4605, 4705, 5000, 8000, 8324, 8800, 8740, 8910, 8994, 8050, 8750, 8760, and 8996."
I think there are more in addition to that. I have the Milan Crib N Changer combo... model number 8995 and its been recalled.
I believe that was the September 08 recall.
so this is separate from the 2007 recall where they sent you a piece to fix it right?
Quoting Stephanie808:so this is separate from the 2007 recall where they sent you a piece to fix it right?
Yes. There is no "fix it" for this recall....and it is all Simplicity drop side cribs.
