For those of you who had unintentional or "accidental" pregnancies what were the circumstances (if you don't mind sharing)?
Condom Break? Pull out method failed? He didn't pull out in time? Didn't take birth control as prescribed?
I hear/see so many people saying they got pregnant unintentionally or accidentally and it just amazes me how often it happens while some people try and try to get pregnant and dont'/can't.
ETA- for those of you saying the withdrawal method failed can you be more specific? Did he pull out in time but you still got pregnant or did he just not pull out in time.
The reason I ask it that I've always used withdrawl method and just not had sex on days around ovulation. But somehow this week I miscounted or something. Thought I wasn't ovulating til this Monday or Tuesday but according to my chart I most likely ovulated the middle of this past week...
First baby- I was married to my ex for ten years, never got pregnant. I met my current SO and we slept together ONE time. BOOM, I was pregnant.
Second baby (I'm pregnant now)- We slipped up and forgot the condom. OOPS! lol
DR told me I was unable to get pregnant so I didnt worry too much but the dr was wrong
I was stupid when I started having sex and didn't use ANYTHING, and never even had so much as a scare. Then, I met someone that I was thinking about trying with so I went to the doctor and was told I would need meds to have any chance of conceiving. Things didn't work out with him and I met DH. I was pregnant within 3 months.
Mine was not taking the pill at the same exact time every day. Now I'm on Depo so no worries.

My first was unintentional! I was on the pill, but my DR accidentally prescribed the one they give to women who are breastfeeding. It was a big surprise!
No matter if the baby were oops or not, they are all blessings! :) I had my tubes tied and sometimes I wish that we would have an opps, but I am sure that my tubes are tied off pretty well. LOL! Though I am not suppose to get pregnant again as it can kill myself and or the baby...
WAHM of 2 cute and adorable boys! :)
Brandon and Zachary
My Brandon has Autism....
-- Neeters! :)
I was on the pill... and never faultered on taking them daily at the right time... Doc simply says I was part of that 0.01%... plus, there seems to be alot of women who don't realize that taking certain antibiotics or other meds while on the pill can actually cause the pill to not do it's job. There are so many different ways to end up unintentionally pregnant. It does seem kind of unfair to those who can't have children, but what can ya do?!
We have been together a total of almost 6 years.
DH was told by a doctor a little while back that he couldn't have biological children....so I barely used BC and he did the same.
Well, after 6 years of not really preventing.....BOOM, positive pregnancy test....lol....
so, this little guy (that will be here in about 3 months) is our surprise miracle baby....
Jaxon was a failed birth control baby. I was also told I couldn't get pregnant at all. I was just on the pill to help with PCOS. Still got pregnant.
Supporting Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness in Memory of My Son, Jaxon Elijah. Stillborn September 5th,2008. Forever loved and missed!
My last 3 were unplanned because of too early of having sex and he didn't pull out in time. A 6 month old, a miscarriage at 16 weeks and now I'm almost 7 weeks pregnant.
