So, I'm sitting on the couch last night just kind of thinking about things....and then it hit me.....
Our baby is a huge boy and his head is ginormous....and it's going to have to come out one way or another....and that scares the crap out of me!!!!
When you have them naturally, does it really feel like you are being shredded apart??? Be honest....I want to know....
my brother's girlfriend's brother (did you get that? lol) is a doctor and she (my brother's GF) was telling me that if you poop while pushing it means that you are doing it right...lol!

It'll hurt for a minute, but then it'll be over. I'd much rather have a vaginal birth than a c-section. : ) Follow the signals your body is giving you and just push through the pain. (It'll feel like you have to take the biggest poop of your life, but then the baby comes and it's so rewarding.)
of course he looks huge... it's an amplified image lol. I got a lot of u/s with Becka, my first, and she looked GIGANTIC. Even my OB said I'd be lucky to have her under 10 lbs.
She was 8.6 lol. :) He had great technology, no fuzzy images, everything clear as day.

as far as the ultrasounds go, I get them at every visit here (in Germany) and they are very clear pictures (not like the fuzzy ones I have seen from the states)....and believe me....he's huge and has a big head (his daddy has a big head as well...lol)

Nope.
How do you know the size? U/S can be off. I don't stress about it.
I LOVED giving birth, even pushing out my 9.1lb, 21 1/2 inch long daughter. I was in the perfect position to give birth and have gravity work with me... everything went smoothly and easily and I never experienced the "ring of fire".
It was like a burning sensation. Not too bad. My DH's family has large heads, and my DD was definitely no exception. Her head was I think 13 1/2 inches. I could be wrong. Ever since she was born, her head had been above the 100th percentile. Last time I measured, it was at 19 inches. And that was at her 2yr appt!
I was worried about it, too, but if it doesn't fit, then they can just do a c-section and get the kid out that way. lol.
i understand that it's an amplified image....but im not going to argue about it....you're obviously right so there's no point in arguing

Just to set your mind at ease a little bit, when the baby drops and your body starts to prepare for birth, his/her little head will start to cone a little bit. Babies are born with fontanels (or soft spots) where the plates of their skulls have not yet formed the hard suture lines between all of the plates. This allows the baby's head to sort of "squish" a bith the plates will overlap to some degree, and the baby's head will cone to some degree (and it may stay like that for a few days), but this will allow the baby to come out of your body without issue in most cases.
Yes it does, lol...but it feels so good to push...and the pain -WORTH IT

Ripped from hole to hole and my DD was only 7lbs 5 oz.

honestly, for me it helped to hear about the horror stories of the pain because when i had my first i was like its not nearly as bad as pple made it out to be. yes it hurts. i have a low tolerance for pain and im a screamer so i did what i do best, i screamed my bloody lungs out lol. screaming helps me so i let er rip. to me, the only thing that truly hurt hurts is when im pushing and that only takes me a few minutes so its really not truly all that bad. i think id rather have a baby naturally than break my leg, because a baby is out very quickly while ur leg doesnt heal for weeks.
in all honesty. I gave birth naturally to a 9lb 7 oz boy, his head was so huge that he ended up with two huge bumps on his head that were filled with blood from the pressure of me pushing out out his head, i think they were hematomas (harmless) they went away after a month.
it did hurt, "the ring of fire" i think they call it
