Well he doesn't act like that when he's with me >:(
OMG if i have to hear this one more time.
My DS (3) can be difficult, he screams a alot, never stays still, is always on the go, never naps, hardly listens, he has all the classic symptoms of ADD/ADHD, I've grown up with my sister and 2 cousins having it, DS's father and 2 brothers also have it.
But whenever i go to my Aunts house she always says "well he's not like that when he's with me", and she will tell anyone who listens. My kids 1, 3, 4 go to her house maybe once a month or every 2 months for a weekend. I live in a highrise and my aunt only lives a couple floors down.
I fell like she's saying im a bad mom, my DD's don't act this way, and what she forgets is that when she does take my kids for a weekend, she also makes sure she has my cousins (teenagers) there to help and play with them and occupy them, she even calls my GMA (her mom) to help, so there is at least 5 ppl there to help or play with them, but at home its just me and 3 kids pulling me in 3 different directions.
essentaily My DS acts out alot for attention, but mainly My attention, he is the middle baby and the only boy. I've tried every form of dicipline known to man but nothing will work, he has run off on me almost into the street, he will litterally run a mile ahead of me when we are out and will not stop no matter how much i yell and scream at him, he has his good days too, but most of the time he can be difficult.
I just pisses me off when my aunt says this

My 3 year old little girl does most of the same...hardly ever naps (unless she's at daycare), won't sit still, etc. She doesn't scream though...she does the "fake" crying stuff to get out of being sent to timeout...drama queen in the making. She's an only child too so not vying for attention shouldn't be a problem.
Good luck and maybe get him checked out for the ADD/ADHD especially if it runs in your family.
It actually runs on both sides of DS's family, his Dr wants to wait a while before diagnosing him, btu he is a handfull, he screams for everything, he has no patience what so ever and can get downright violent sometimes when he doesn't get his way.
But my autn claims he's not like that at her house, it think its because there are so many ppl there to keep him company.
Quoting silverspun:My 3 year old little girl does most of the same...hardly ever naps (unless she's at daycare), won't sit still, etc. She doesn't scream though...she does the "fake" crying stuff to get out of being sent to timeout...drama queen in the making.
