my knight in shining denim! chivolery lives! (sp?)
I met a man today, a family really, that showed me taht there are still truely good people out there. After a long day of chaos and one un-expected problem after another i was DONE with the 4th of july, but I had to run my mom some where, and on the way back my tire had a complete blow out. And being the oh-so-prepaired person, i had no spare tire, no jack, and a dieing cell phone. It just so hapened that it blew right as i came up on some ones drive way, and i had eased it over. I started walking up to the house to expain to the resident(s) what had hapened and ask if it was allright if i pulled my van off to the side untill tomarow when i could get a tire, and that my grandfather was on his way to get us. As i am getting close i recieve an un-expected warm hello from a man (about 55-60yearsold) wearing blue jeans and a blue plad shirt and two younger people. As i begin to explain the woman of the group expresed genuine concern as to wether every one was alright, and the older man said he would help me get pulled off to the side. Whe my grandpa arives the man asked my granpa if he had a doenut (sp?) and a jack, which he did. Then this sweet man switched it out for me with the most chearfull disposition you could have imagined, and refused to have me help. Then he proceded to have me pull to his work shop where he put more air into the one he had put on for me and checked the others. After doing all this he gave us a tour or sorts and let DD play with his new baby goats (they were soo cute!) I went to thank him and he said not to, that he was just glad that they could help, and that if we wanted to come back that DD could play w his animals (mini donkie, goats, pony, dog, horses) any time. I couldnt believe how kind this man was to complete strangers. It has been a long time sence i have met any one as nice as this family, and i am glad to know that they are still around. I have to say as cruddy as it is to get a flat tire, it could not have hapened at a better place.

I know! i was shocked! And it was like it made his day to help me. And he was excited to chat w my grandpa and showed him his tomato plants (my g-pa has a thing for tomato plants.lol) and showed him this awsome walikng stick that he made by hand that had a snake head designe carved at the top, and showed us all his goats (i think they were mini's) and let DD play w them and his dog.
