So my mom went and got allergy tested a few weeks back (the one where they stick about 60 needles in your arm and then check for reactions.)  She went back for the results and found out she is severely allergic to............chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is 55 and has eaten chocolate her entire life!  She was told that her symptoms (tight throat, headaches, breathing problems) are a result of her eating chocolate and she can never have it again.  And once her body has been without it for a period of time the allergy will be that much worse (when she loses her tolerance for it), so they gave her an epipen in case she accidentally ingests any chocolate at all!

I told her that if I inherited that from her I will disown her (kidding obviously!)

My poor mom :(

  • Did you ever watch "Living Single" Maxine on that show found out she was allergic to chocolate and man oh man she felt like her world had ended...lol.

Anywhoo, that sucks for your momma, i just think, well dang if she has been eating chocolate for this long and it hasnt killed her then why not continue?....but i guess if its for her health then its better to stop.

I hope your momma is okay, i suggest go and get her a tub of vanilla ice cream :)

Mom to be Mrs. Carter, to Charles F. Carter :D

  • She has bad headaches and breathing trouble.  She said if quitting chocolate will make that feel better, she will not eat it.  But if it doesn't work, she will continue to eat it!!!
