I have been having pains really badly in my stomach. It is the worst right above my belly button and wraps around my right side. Also where it is the worst pain in the middle the pain shoots right through to my back. They did a ton of blood work only to find my white blood cell count is really high. They also did a CT scan and x rays to check my gall bladder, and appendix. It was neither so they wrote my a Rx for pepcid and told me to go to a family Dr and get a referral to a GI specialist. They said they think it is one of these three things ulcers, cysts or a tumor. Now today I can't even hold down water. I'm not going back to the ER because they will just tell me the same damn thing. But what should I do until I can get to this specialist? It's not good to not even hold down water! Anyone have an idea what could be wrong with me?

It has been 3 days now and the pain is no better. And now I cannot keep any food down or any beverages (water, ginger ale, sprite) I can't stand up straight either. I am calling my doctor tommorow to make sure I get an appointment Tuesday to get the referral to a GI specialist. What is wrong with me!? I have lost 4 lbs in 3 days!!

I went to the ER for the same problem and diagnosed me with gastritis. They prescribed an antacid and told to me limit high acid and fatty foods. Idk. I hope you get the help you need.

Did they rule out a kidney infection? Because I had the same thing happen to me when I had a kidney infection. I woke up and the pain was just like that and I just kept throwing up, even water! So it might possibly be that!

Oh and are you pregnant? Because I was 6 months pegnant with my daughter when I got my kidney infection with my 1st pregnancy. I was 5 months pregnant with my twins when I got my 2nd kidney infection.

Sorry I dont have alot of advice. Ive been dealing with the same problems for over a year and a half and still dont have a diagnosis. Ive had ovarian cysts that have since resolved and have been told that my appendix is INFLAMED BUT NOT INFECTED. I have a GI and have had an endoscopy and colonoscopy in which they didnt find anything. Other than the 2 CT scans that showed my appendix being inflamed, everything else comes back NORMAL. Im right there with ya. I hope that you are able to find some relief soon and get to the bottom of the problem. My OB and GI agree that its time for me to talk to a surgeon about a possible appendectamy. I had my gallbladder removed 3yrs ago so thats NOT the problem and while they ARENT sure if the appendectamy will fix the problem, its kind of a process of elimination. Im so sorry you are going through this as well. I know how much it sucks :( You will be in my thoughts and prayers and if you are able to get some answers, PLEASE let me know. Feel better SOON!!!!

if your wbc is high then there is an infection some where.  If your dr.s office as an after hour phone I would call it and tell them what the er doc. says.  If you can't keep water down that's something wrong for sure. If you don't want to go back to that er if there is another close by go to that one.  tell them what your signs are and maybe they will find something different.  Sorry not much help here
