Ok so we are very behind on some old credit card bills... We are paying on as many as we possibly can right now that money is very tight for us.  Today a Sheriff served my DH with court papers that one of the creditors is sueing him.  Its not too much, its less than 3000 i think but the company is willing to work with us if we can come up with $750 by tomorrow.  We do not have the money at all, but what we do have are paintings by Emile Bellet with the certificate of authenticity and they are all framed.  can someone PLEASE tell me where I can sell them???  Some place that it will be quick but we can get the value price or close to it???

You don't want to try to get a loan from the bank? I guess you can try to sell the pictures on EBAY or even cafemom.  Or you could just go to your local grocery store and try to sell them to customers. IDK...sorry that I'm no help.

I have no idea, but here is a bump!

ETA: Do you have a local art gallery? Or college?

Pawn Shop !

granted you won't get face value...but it's one of the quickest ways to get money...

I think you need to speak with the creditor again.....explain it is IMPOSSIBLE to get $750 by tomorrow...and that they need to be a bit More reasonable. Obviously if you had the money..you would have paid the bill. They try to bully people...don't be a PUSHOVER! Tell them you'll do a payment plan...even if it's something like 3 installments or whatever!

What about a loan from local companies...for example we have a loan company called World Finance.  My brother got a loan from them with no credit.

Idk, but maybe try and post them on Craigslists' in different cities: LA, SF, Denver, NYC, Long Is., Miami, Dallas/Ft.Worth. All the places you can think where there would be a substantial group of upper-middle class who'd be able to afford them immediately. Post pics and tell thm you will ship via UPS as soon as they Paypal the $ to you.

One you can file a response to push back the court date (up to 4-6 mos). You have a time limit to do so - usually 30 days.

Two, you can continue to negotiate with the CC company in the meantime.

Three, try a pawn shop. Got any jewelry you can sell? That would help too (ie cash for gold).

Your best and quickest option is a pawn shop, of course you won't get their full worth there.  You'll have to get them appraised and then put them online which could take days-weeks if you do ebay or anything like that.  Even a newspaper ad won't give you quick results.  Sorry you're going through this, perhaps a payday loan? They're awful, with terrible finance charges and such but they *might* help you.

I would go with Craigslist or ask a relative.  If you can find out how much they are worth on-line, print that out and then ask a friend or a relative to buy them for half that price.  That way they have an investment and you have quick cash.  Good luck!
