Let your children have coffee? My daughter is 8, she used to get up early with me and I would let her have a little cup, with creme n sugar, I never gave her a lot just a small cup, she called it our "mommie sabrina time". She is making a pot of coffee right now, she makes really good coffee btw. Just wondered if anyone else let their kiddies have some or a drink of yours (if u drink coffee).

Nope. My 8 yr old DD has ADHD and I'm not going to provoke it by giving her sugar or caffeine.

I brought home an iced white mocha from starbucks and DD wanted a sip, so I let her take a sip and she spit it out...that's one drink I actually get to finish in peace lol

Nope, they have a HUGE reaction to caffeine.  They almost never get chocolate either.

my nephew has autism and it helps him calm down. coffee can actually have a calming affect. I know flavored coffee makes me sleepy, like vanilla and such. My kids like coffee creamer, but I dont give it to them, my mom gave them little mouths full!

Yes I do. My boys have adhd and I give a cup of black coffee without cream and suger. The caffeine helps them out without meds and as for my dd she likes to have cup with them just for the fun of it. My oldest is 1 so not a big deal our youngest is 10.

Yes I did. My son is 2.5 and he's had a sip of my frapacchino(sp?). I don't know, I don't think it's such a big deal. My family is Italian and in Italy lots of people let their kids sip some of their espresso. I drank it when I was a kid as well. It's really no big deal.

Yes I do let my 4 year old and 6 year old have coffee but I wouldn't say it is coffee I fill up a coffee cup mostly with milk and then a little sugar along with some coffee so really they are drinking more milk than anything. They will never know lol. We do this on Saturday and Sunday mornings if my husband is out of town working. It is just something little and special my kids and I do together if daddy is gone. Makes them happy so in turn I am happy.
