at what age does a child usually get braces?

have a dr appointment soon but curious lmao...

aslo im assuming all his big teeth have to be out right? 2 are growing in.

what about cost?

I was 9, but I had a retainer and head-gear thing when I was 8. Fun times.

I think i was in 6th grade when I had mine.  I think the earlier you can get it over with the better:)

I got mine at 12 (had them for a year).  My cousin got his at 8yr before his adult teeth because his baby teeth have to move to make room for his adult teeth.  He is 9yr and getting them off soon but they will go back on once his adult teeth come in.

After all their baby teeth fall out and their adult teeth grow in. My SS needs braces bad, so we will be making an appt with the dentist soon to discuss what we need to do. He is 12 and will start 7th grade this year. I want to do it ASAP, because I don't want him to have to have braces all through high school.
