Home photos of children in bathtubs child pornography???

Okay, we have all done it.  Those cute pictures of our children doing thier first potty or play time in the bathtub.  We have all taken pictures of our babies if they took off thier diaper and streaked.  We have videotaped them in the bath with a younger sibling, but not trying to show anything.  Well now I just learned that at photoshops they are actually arresting parents that have developed pictures of their children in the tub or on the toilet.  Is it just me or is this a bit over the edge?  I have pictures of my 2 year old bathing with his sister who is 4 at the time they were 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 how is that wrong in anyway.  They were having fun playing with duckies and I wanted to capture the moment.  There were bubbles everywhere and you could not see thier privates (why would you shoot that part of your child anyways).   How do you feel about this?  Do you think they are going a little over board with this???

Yep - I think it sucks. I have the cute lil pictures of my youngest that I was able to actually take some where to get developed because it was like 8 years ago...with my two youngest I have to print them out at home...it's unfair to parents.

I asked the guy at the photo place that I used to go to about this one day. He said as long as he doesn't feel its inappropriate that it's okay. So really, it's up the the person developing the pictures. They know the difference between your child taking a bath and your child posing sexily on the bed. If it was child porn for the bath then so birth photos would be too b/c I know my daughter is butt naked, screaming and covered in blood in my birth photos.

The way that I make sure I am okay is if I take pics of her in the bath then I don't get from the waist down. I just make sure the tub blocks it.

I agree that that is a little over board, but I have the same pics and I agree you don't want to include any private parts, but sometimes you get them on accident, which I have a digital camera so those get deleted, but I guess with all the sickos in the world now a day they just don't want to take anything too lightly. But thank goodness my mom in law got me one of those picture printer things that you can print your own 3x5 photos, so I don't do the 24 hr photo thing anymore.

 I think this is ridiculous!

I did hear of a mom that was arrested like 5-6 years ago for developing pics of her 3 kids jumping around on a bed in only their underwear. They were like 2yrs, 3yrs, and 4yrs old. They only had underwear on (no shirts and the little one had a diaper on) and they said that she took the picture of them in a sexual position. They were all just jumping up and down playing. No sexual positions, no touching each other, no private parts showing, nothing like that at all. She served a few years in prison for it!

It's amazing how people don't hold themselves to the standards they set for others.

I think that is a little over board.I have one picture of my son in the bathtub, but you could never see his "peanut".I think the picture is cute.I would never post it on a web site (like lets see your baby in the bathtub on here or something like that is not in any way sexual.you can never be too sure who's looking at it),but it's in his baby book.I don't have one of my daughter though.I don't give her bubble baths. So no picture in the baby book of that.
