If so what are you going for? I want to go back to school (at my local technical college) but Im scared. I want to take something in a feild I can get a job in but I dont know what to choose. I looked at a few things but it doesnt seem like there is much of a market around here for jobs in that area. So what's your major?

If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice.

I alread y have an associates in criminal justice and am going back for nursing right now. i actually start the semster on wed. around here there is more of a opportunity for nurses than for cops, also my daughter has leukemia and she and the docs and nurses that treat her have inspired me to do the nursing thing.

I wish it was like that here. Theres a nursing instructor shortage in a lot of places, thus resulting in very small and very selective nursing student groups. One of the schools that I applied to the program at accepts 50 students out of 400+ applicants, once per year. The other school I applied at accepts for a fall and spring nursing program pick-up and they typically accept about 1/3 to 1/2 of the applicants, depending upon their staff size at that time.

There's not really a market for a lot of things right now, it seems.  =\
i don't really know what i want to do.
When i was in school i was going towards a polisci major, but I was taking basics.  I currently only have 42 credit hours and I'm not attending school atm,  but when I do eventually get to back, I want to go for education... because it's what I *want* to do and at this point i figure it's best to study what you want than what you think you might need.

My major was psychology until I realized at my current place of employment that the last thing I wanted to do was sit and listen to people bitch and complain all day about shit they usually create and are too stupid to fix. So instead my major is human services/management which is a pretty wide field for job choices. I really don't care if I get or keep a job. It really isn't a priority for me to be honest. But I love my classes. :)
