Okay so I was browsing the local news online today and found this..........it's so wrong and distrubing that a father would do that.

AMARILLO -- You could call it a childhood lost. Imagine your husband showing your young daughters pornography and it being perfectly legal. It happened here in Amarillo, and under Texas Law, any parent who chooses to do so, is protected. Now the girls mom wants the law changed. In this I-Team Report KAMR NBC 4 Reporter David Martinez talked to the mom. To protect the girls, we've changed their parents names. In 1997, "Rachel" and "Charles" married but on their five year anniversary, they divorced. In that time, they had three girls but as part of the divorce, "Charles" gained primary custody. According to "Rachel" in February, "Charles" did the unthinkable and showed the eight and nine year old girls explicit pornography. "He made them stay up late one night watching it while he was drinking and told them that it was ok that he was showing them this because it was eventually going to be happening to them and they needed to understand what to do and how to do it,"says "Rachel." Nearly four months after the alleged incident, "Rachel" says the girls finally told her what happened. "They just said it was a really long movie that they had to watch and their baby sister was asleep on the couch," says the mother. In July, a children's advocacy center interviewed the girls and the Amarillo Police Department became involved. Meanwhile "Rachel" says she noticed the girls acting out sexual scenes with their dolls. "There was an investigation we presented the case to the district attorney's office who looked at it and because of the way the law is written it is a defense to prosecution as a parent they can legally show their child these pictures," says Corporal Jerry Neufeld of the Amarillo Police Department. Needless to say "Rachel" was shocked, but under Texas Penal Code 43.24, "Charles" was not charged with any crime, and despite the after effects the girls were going through. The case was closed. "Does it look like he stepped over the line, sure but it's not a criminal matter," says Neufeld. "I want this law changed. I think it should be changed. I think it should be illegal to show a child pornographic images. I absolutely think this is outrageous," says the outraged mother. At Court Appointed Special Advocates, Barbara Richardson is not too surprised. "In my opinion the laws have been written for the criminal because the children absolutely have no say so," says Richardson. According to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, in Potter County alone, there were 997 confirmed cases of child abuse in 2008. "If there's enough people that scream and holler about it I think they can get some attention, get it changed. We have to save these precious children," says Richardson. "Charles" would not comment on this story. At this point, the girls continue to live with their dad in Lubbock and they occasionally get to see their mom who lives in Dallas. "Rachel" tell us she's fighting to gain custody. Nuefeld compares this to a parent taking their child into a bar for a drink, it's simply not against the law. In this case, the law basically says it's up to parents on how they're going to teach their kids about sex. According to "Rachel" the girls continue to see a counselor and she hopes with time they'll be able to overcome this incident. If you'd like to help "Rachel" in her fight to change this law you need to call your local congressman and lawmakers.

Sick. He shouldn't have custody. At the very most supervised visitation.

Wow!  Seriously that's disgusting!  I hope she gets custody of her children because if their father is going to do this when they are only 8 & 9 years old, there's no telling what he'll do when they get older.

I thought their were lawas against showing a minor pornographic images. Maybe that is just in some states? It is should be illegal every where. What kind sick bastard would show thier kids porn. Seriously it is messed up and he should not have custody of those girls. Using porn to teach about sex is ridiculous. I guess if you want o teach your daughters about being objectified it is great.

wow..im surprised there isnt a law against it considering you have to be 18 to buy the pron i would have thought there would be something like indecent something or another with a minor or something! i am all about some porn between hubby and me but i wouldnt let my kids watch that to learn what to do! yeah great tricks for us but it could send the wrong signals to someone that young!
