my neice was born yesterday at 6pm at 29 weeks.

weighing 1pound and 7 oz. 11.5 inches long. think positive thoughts, pray, do whatever you can to make sure she makes it through this.

she has a breathing tube down her throat and theyre feeding her through her belly button

. she cant cry much yet but my step mom said you can tell when she gets mad bc she scrunches her face up its so cute in the nicu

eyes kinda open (that's a newborn size diaper going sideways under her butt. thats how small she is)

foot prints compared to car key and my dads finger

in the nicu sleepin

thanks for reading. ill post updates as i get them

THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO TAKE OUT HER BREATHING TUBE TODAY!!! SHES RESPONDING SO WELL TO THE MEDS!!!

saturday they were able to take the breathing tube out and she is now breathing on her own!!!

shes gained an ounce and they are introducing bmilk in her iv one cc at a time every 3 hours

shes gained 6 oz!!!

My prays are with your family. My nephew was born at 29 weeks also (but was almost 2lbs, he would have been a big boy if he went to term). So I understand the Aunts worry for her nephew/neice.

Good Luck

Sending good vibes your way. What happened to make her be born sooo early.

I am in the same spot. My baby was born 5 weeks ago, at 28 weeks. Shes still in the hosptial. But doing wonderfully. Baby Luna was born weighing 2 pounds 4 ounces, and 15 inches long. She is now 4 pounds 5 ounces. Things will get better. Heres a slide show on the progress of my baby, maybe it will give you and your family some hope and comfort? I wish the best

my step sister has been having major bp problems and it has been really high and whenever they got it to normal the babys heart rate would drop bc she was so used to it being high.  my step sister was also getting preclampsia and the baby kept going into distress. they were trying to push it 3 weeks but they just couldnt wait that long so they delivered her by ccsection
