Question about H1N1 for nurses or those who have dealt with it themselves..

If any of you are nurses or have personally delt with the H1N1 virus, is it treated like the regular flu? My SO has been sick for the past few days & refuses to go to the doctor. I keep telling him to get checked out-just in case, because there have been a few reported cases where we live. Is it something he needs to be seen for or will his routine of taking Tylenol Cold & Flu & keeping down the fluids be enough?

Hello.I am not a nurse but my 7 year old is getting over the swine flu.She had a cough and fever of 103.2.Yes they treat it the same.I was told that if they test positive for even just the reg flu that they treat them the same.Make sure he drink a lot of fluids and give tylenol and motrin for the fever. When my dd was diagnosed I was given the option of even putting her on the tamu flu.I of course chose to.I was told even if its the reg flu they can give the tamu flu also.
