ETA: I'm NOT talking about MATERIAL things, I'm speaking of education, health,  social, moral, etc...............

Are you referring to something? I've learned that some parents have different views on what they thing is "the best" from other parents.

"Best" is relative. For instance, do I want to provide the absolute "best" clothes and toys? Maybe yes, maybe not. I do think overindulgence is wasteful and not in the child's best interest. And who can say definitively what "best" entails? Is that a $1000 outfit for every day of the month? Or is that modestly priced, attractive, adequate clothing?
