I currently use DD, but I am having some trouble with them. My question is how do you get into CD and how do you take care of them? Like how to wash them, clean them out (poo)? Also doesnt the wetness stay against the babies bottom? And What are these woolies??

I shake th poo into the toilet then wash with baking soda. To remove stains I let them dry in the sun.

Tons of different ways. For newborns, especially breastfed babies pre solids, you don't need to shake the poo out at all. Just wash it all together.

You really should join Cloth Diapering Moms and Cuties with Cloth Booties here on cafemom, TONS of information.

I throw all my dirty diapers in a wet bag (which washes with them). Then at the end of the day, or beginning of next I was what's in the bag. I do 1 short cold cycle with baking soda, 1 heavy duty hot cycle with diaper safe detergent, then 1 rinse. I'd do a warm water rinse, but can only do cold :(

When Taegen starts eating solids I will get a diaper sprayer attachment for the toilet so it makes getting the poo off easier.

Cloth diapers are made to absord the wetness and pull it away from the babies bottom.

I used to CD, DH won't let me anymore. With our first, we had a shower to wash everything in the toilet with. I used pockets which pulled the moisture down. I ended up changing more frequently because DS was a heavy pee-er. But with our shower, DH forgot to close the valve and the pressure cracked the line and flooded the house. He said he'd rather pay for DD rather than going through the repairs again! I'm going to try to convince DH to let me use them just for when we start getting close to potty training. I swear CD is the reason that DS potty trained early!
