This is my nephew, he was born weighing 1lb 14 ozs when he was born. He was born pre-mature. His head could fit in the top of the palm of your hand, while his little butt fit at the bottom of it. He was tiny and on resperators for the longest time... He was born in 1996, and now, he is 13 years old. This is him now [well on Halloween of LAST year, Captain Jack sparrow...] i know if you have a premature baby it will be hard, but i just wanted to post this to show there IS hope for you mommas, my brothers ex wife was 17 when she had him, she was young, and managed... keep your chins up... there is hope...

Great post. My twins were born at 26 weeks, weighing 1'14 and 2'6. My daughter's head was the size of a baseball. They are now healthy almost 3yo's. With the exception of Autism.

Here they are now

25 years ago, my first son was born 2 months prematurely. He spent time in the NICU, had apnea, no sucking reflex, etc.  He was born prematurely because of placenta previa, and we'd almost lost him several times during my abbreviated pregnancy.  At a healthy 25 years old (my kid is a quarter of a century old!!!) , he's 6'4", had his first wedding anniversary in August, bought a house 3 months ago....don't ever believe that miracles don't happen.  That was 25 years ago, when medical science wasn't even as advanced as it is now for the care of preemies.  When we look at those early pics....it's amazing!  (All of your babies/children are beautiful, btw).

Thankyou. My son is really lucky. He had heart surgery at 1 week old and a grade 3 brain hemmorhage and now has no complications from either except the 4 in scar on his left side. They both have low immune systems and catch everything, but my oldest daughter (who was a 32 weeker) has an IGA immunodeficiency and also catches everything, so I don't know if it is a preemie thing or a genetic thing. My son does have seizures, but I'm not sure if it's from the Autism since alot of Autistic kids have seizures or damage from the hemmorhage. Other than no deformities or anything from being born so early.

lol he's so cute. He had a baseball head like my Morgan did. Meaning a baseball was the same size or bigger than her head. My Michael had a bigger head, maybe like a softball, lol.
