My 2 year old finally mastered openeing the fridge. So I go out to Target, buy a little thing to "lock" the fridge so he cant get in it. What does my 2 year old do? He just ripped the darn thing right off the fridge & opens it! Wth??

My son is 18 months and I have given up on baby proofing. He can get past most of the "baby proof" things better than I can. I just have to watch him extra close.

LMAO... my DD is very close to learning how to do that too... and opening doors and drawers... ugh! I put child locks on the cabinets but her arms are soo freaking tiny she just opens it as far as she can (about an inch and a half MAYBE) sticks her arm in and grabs away! So far the only thing she has gotten is a plastic bag and brought it right to me lol but thats why I make sure all cleaning products are out of reach and closed! Im trying to teach her to OPEN the fridge and get her own drink... she will even bring me and SO sodas out of the fridge... along with the bbq sauce, hot sauce, syrup, jelly, peanut butter... yep.

I got the same thing as well. The first time it came off but that is because I did not follow the instructions.
You have to place it on the fridge and let it sit overnight or for so many hours before locking it so it can work properly or it will come off.
Oh..lol I didnt read them either. Dang it... guess I gotta buy another one.

I wouldn't waste anymore money on them...I bought one thinking I was outsmarting my 2.5 year old and she figured out how to work the locking mechanism 10 minutes after it was put up. She didn't tear it down, she completely figured it out!

I believe you also have to clean the area on the fridge with alcohol first then stick it on and let it sit for it to adhere properly.
