I started a Ten Day Detox today... that's one thing that I love about this program. Any time you start feeling a little less than perfect (health) or notice a couple of extra pounds on the scale, you just go back to square one.
I'm going to post each day here, so you can get a birds eye view. First, I'll tell you that I cheat (teehee). Not a big cheat, just a little one. I eat a banana every day, always. Bananas are a great health food, just not a great diet food. I know this affects my results, but it's a trade I'm willing to make. Second, watermelons are in season right now and there's one in my frig... don't expect me not to eat some.
Because I've been doing this for a while now, I've kind of customised the program to fit me. I encourage anyone doing this program to do it right "by the book" the first time, but listen to your body as you proceed. You'll learn to tweak the program to fit you. Things I am doing a little different:
(1) Instead of taking Reneu' morning and evening, I'm going to drink a cup of Fit To a Tea (an herbal detox tea available through First Fitness) in the morning and take Reneu' in the evening.
(2) I like to stretch out the first two days of the program to at least three. I'm not a big protein eater and the absence of meat in the first two days doesn't bother me (it makes my sister climb the walls!). The shake is perfectly balanced, so I'm getting the nutrition I need. We'll see if I make that goal a reality...
(3) After day one and day two (shakes at every meal) you can choose a shake as your meat option anytime. I plan on doing this with my supper each night.
I'm starting at 134.5 pounds. That's about six pounds over where I like to be. Actually,I like me at less than that, but my family complains that I lose my butt if I lose any more
.
Okay... here goes nothin'... Started with two Slimmin' Up (and my vitamins), a chocolate shake made hot (hot choco... yummy) and a banana. I fixed my tea and stuck it in the frig for midmorning. I work on my property, so that's convenient for me.
I'll post again tomorrow, hopefully.

Lunch was a salad, which suited me fine. I like leaf lettuce and I had some little grape tomatoes grown in my garden and cucumber. I sliced a half an avacado (the plan limits you to a quarter, so I went overboard on that). And with it I had a shake. I used frozen blueberries, which should have been for breakfast, but because I had my banana at breakfast, I threw them in my vanilla shake for lunch. It turns the vanilla shake an amazingly vibrant shake of deep purple and it taste yummy. It's four hours later and I'm just beginning to feel a little hungry. The shake is such good nutrition that you can go and go on it.

Supper was yummy... and easy. I poured a little olive oil in a pan and then slice a sweet onion in it. Next I added a couple of bell peppers cut into bite sized chunks. Then I added two zuchinni squash and last I had a bunch of grape tomatoes so I sliced them in half and threw them in. I seasoned it and stir fried it until everything was tender crisp. I served it up with and ice cold chocolate shake on the side! I could've had a salad, too... but I filled up on veges!
