My hubby and I adopted our beautiful princesses and they made it clear that after our oldest came to us SO quickly that it wouldn't happen like that again.  (It took a month and 8 days to get Brooke)  We signed on and got re-certified to be adoptive parents in March 2008.  They said that it would be a year to a year and a half at the least.  June 13th they called to tell us we were matched with a birthmom that was due in 2 weeks.  SURPRISE!  She was born on June 25th, 2008.  They are 15 1/2 months a part.

Both my babies have been a surprise.  I'm going to insure there is no third surprise.  I need the break!

Both of my girls were surprises. Me and birth control don't really work well together. I got my tubes tied so no more surprises for me.

my hubby and I tried for a year to get pregnant. with our first. So after we had him I went on the pill because I know the first 6 months after you have a baby you are more likely to get pregnant again. We wanted another in 2-3 years. So ya I was shocked when I went to the health department and was told I could not get BC because I was about 3 weeks 6 days prego!!!

My second baby, first of th 2 under 2 was planned.  It took 3 years and 4 mo of fertility to get pregnant.  She was ebf till 10 mo, then started solids.  When she started solids I got my period back, and the second one, bam I was pregnant.  We still aren't sure how it happend so easy lol.

So I have to tell you a little background so you understand.

I have PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome there is a lot to explain but if you really want to know its available to look up on the net easily) which means its VERY difficult if not IMPOSSIBLE to get preggo, so hubby and I took fertility meds to get preggo, and were successful on the second round of progesterone and clomid.

after our son was born via c section, we didnt even worry about protection because we didnt think it was possible to conceive with out help, we were planning on waiting a couple of years, especially since we were ok financially for the one but not another at the moment.

We did want one more but not anymore than that, so a little whle ago, I was writhing in pain on the couch, I couldnt even get up, and since it went away after a few hours, I just blew it off, then later that week I had the same excruciating pain, I knew it wasnt gas I know what that feels like and gas moves, this was different, and it doesnt hurt like this hurt. So hubby got off work early and took me to the walk in, after poking and prodding and testing, the dr finally goes back to her computer to enter info, and she says, Oh I guess I should have looked at my screen sooner, and with out warning, she blurts out, your pregnant!!!!!!!!!, we were both in TOTAL SHOCK. Needless to say after this hubby is getting fixed!!!!!!!!

At the time, because I had only had one cycle since my son was born, they had to do an US to find out how far along I was and I was 5 wks 2 days
