I have "worn" both my babies in a wrap. I actually bought 2 at $35 a pop and then I figured out that they are just 5 yards of material cut in half long ways. The material needs to have a little pull and you are good to go. So far I haven't had to sew them because the material I have gotten is stretchy and so doesn't fray.
I love my wraps!!!
They cover your lower back so you don't have the pull like you do with baby bjorns. It is very easy on the baby because it conforms to there body. All around very safe for baby and momma.

i use a maya wrap which is a sling...didnt like the baby bjorn
We used a sling for tiny babys, then I switched to the bjorn for a few months (I just can't get comfy in a wrap with my kids from about 3-6 months) Once they have good head control we use an ergo.
I don't really like the bjorn, but for me it is the only thing I have been able to get comfy wearing from about 3-6 months.
