Has anyone tried the beef-less ground beef from Trader Joes? If so, how do you prepare it? I put it in some spaghetti sauce yesterday.

It is made with TVP? That stuff is WAY too scary for me. The one faux meat that I buy are from this company:  http://www.uptonsnaturals.com/. While their products are not organic, they are non-GMO. The chorizo and seitan crumbles are nothing short of fantastic

The only one I have found tollerable is "Smart Ground", th eone that looks almost like cooked ground beef.  I use it in chili and sloppy joes, but usually I just skip the fake meats... too many chemicals and artificial substances, as well as being wicked expensive...

I haven't tried them. I tend to use lentils as a replacement for recipes that call for something similar to ground meat. I made lentil tacos last night!

We're gluten free, so many brands are out. "Quorn" is a great hamburger crumble, surprisingly it is made from mushrooms.
