Little Rock (and the surrounding area) Moms!!!
Since we had so much fun last night with my chocolate party, I was thinking we all should try to get together once a month for game night.
My thought is we could all take turns hosting it and whoever the host is gets to choose what game is played. My game of choice is cooties, which is a spin off of bunko. We would need at least 8 people to play (we had enough people to play last night)
We could do it with or without prizes. With bunko type games you usually have the biggest loser, most wins, and highest bunkos. Whoever the hostess is will be responsible for the prizes for that night. We could also have the dirty santa type set-up where everyone brings something and we all trade for prizes (that is fun too). Obviously we don't want high cost items, just small things, even stuff we make ourselves.
Any thoughts? Suggestions?

by ProudArmyWife7 on Nov. 15, 2008 at 2:14 PMThat sounds cool. The only thing. I would have problems hosting because we live in a small apartment. And I dont think i have ever heard of that game. But That is a good idea. But I also thought of something else for us to do. Maybe one night a month/ everyother week have a mom's night out. Leave the kids with a sitter or spouse and have a night out for us. Time to relax. |

by cat1622 on Nov. 15, 2008 at 6:12 PMI am ALWAYS up for moms night out. I love to go out to eat and stuff. The kid in me still likes to party too so if anyone ever wants to do the club scene I am all for it. I hate that being a mom makes me feel like I have to be a hermit. Cynthia Tackett |

by MichaelJrsMom on Nov. 15, 2008 at 7:28 PMI need more moms-night outs! I haven't been doing that and it's good to get a break away. I love playing games- never played bunko or cooties, but would love to learn. Anyone like sequence or card games or is that cheesy? Going out to eat or whatever would be nice too. rebecca |

by cat1622 on Nov. 15, 2008 at 9:36 PMA gamemy family used to play back in the day was Tripoly too. I used to have fun just watching them. I was allowed to fill in for the adults when they needed a potty or smoke break. It was with cards and a mat with different pots in it. I remember they used pennies, nickels & dimes. I think it was similar to rummy with the card aspect of it. I cant remembr all of the details. It is fun though. |

by ProudArmyWife7 on Nov. 16, 2008 at 6:34 AMWell as soon as hubby gets home. I would be able to do the mom's night out. Maybe we could go to the Looney Bin and dinner or something. I don't know but I think we all could use time out for ourselves. I know I sure could. I have been doing this alone since my son was born and I haven't had much help at all. So I don't get much of a break to myself at all. My mom has taken him maybe 5 times since he has been born and he is almost 11 months. I am getting tired and need time out. Is that bad of me? |
