I will admit that I never gave much credit to blogs, or how resourceful they could be. Then while I was healing from my csection, before CM went mobile, all I could get on my smartphone was blogs. Product reviewing blogs, craft blogs, so many different blogs out there. I created a small one dedicated to my beloved Grandma Ola who was my hero, and like a mom to me my entire life. I wanted to keep her memory around for everyone, so my first blog was about her Betty Boop doll, that she made for me. Then there was a huge lapse in a post, I wasted so much time trying to become perfect. Perfect doesnt exist, so here is my blog that I created for my journal as a professional Genealogist.

Do you have a blog?

I don't have a blog. . . wouldn't know how to work it or what to do with it. I'll check yours out, though!

Quoting PamR:I've been trying to do a blog just to sort of organize the stories I've collected, names, dates, places, etc. - mostly to share with family. Has anyone done anything like that. I have so much info on ancestry and here at home, but I don't feel like it's all in a form that is easy to share.
I have been sharing stories with my family through my blog, Dawns Delights Art. Here is a couple links showing how I have done a few stories. I have been trying to work on Rootspress with is a plug in feature on WordPress.

Here is the Timeline for my Great Great Grandfather that a cousin put together for the family.

And then this was a picture I edited and posted about a relative that died in the Civil War. http://dawnsdelightsart.com/category/family-historian/

Thanks for sharing your blogs! When I have time I will check them out. I do not have the time right now to think about blogging, but it may be something I do in the future. I love Genealogy!

Thanks Dawn! What I've done so far is pretty much "the facts" as I know them. I just want to try to get the info I have right now down, then move forward with maybe something a little less dry in the future. Here's a link to mine: http://ourownhistory.blogspot.com/

I have a blog on doing Russian and Ukrainian genealogy and finding family in Russia and Ukraine. Please check it out at https://lostrussianfamily.wordpress.com Last year, I found my grandmother's sister, who went missing in 1945, and a relative of my great-great-grandmother's sister just contacted me from Russia.
