Sweet potatoes ?

Any one have a recipe for thanksgiving sweet potatoes ? I've never made them and found a package of halal marshmallows that escaped the kids .So I'm thinking of giving it a try but wondered if some her can give me a recipe or some pointers .

My mom used to make candied yams.  She would slice them about 1 in thick.  Line a 13x9 glass dish (spray with Pam first) with them then top them with dollops of butter, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar atop.  Finally, place the HALAL  :)  Marshmallows on top...covering EVERYTHING with them.  Bake them at 350 until the sweet potatoes are soft all the way through...no idea how long that takes.   LOL  VERY YUMMY and calorie friendly!  LOOOL  I saw the marshmallows  at the halal store, but haven't tried them yet.  Hope it is tasty for you if you try it!

you're so right this is the way i remember my aunt making them whew can't wait to make them . I like eating them right along my turkey . My Egyptian husband however thinks it's a desert .
